calculators
at the beginning of precalculus, or as soon as all students have graphing calculators, i need to specifically teach students strategies for using their calculators and how to enter entire expressions into the calculator using parentheses in the correct way. i figured that all out myself because no one ever taught me, but it'd be great to actually teach them so they don't learn after a bunch of errors!

Hope you get this (this is Kacie, but it might show us a being from Isaac!) - I didn't want to bother opening up xanga. :) You know, I think I graduated in a unique class like the one that is graduating now, because there were a good number of people that recognized the deep grief and could grieve together. I would say, though, that the majority of tcks (even that graduate together) don't recognize the grief or as openly love the place and time they are in. Even in my class there were a handful of people that acted like - so what? Who cares that I'll never see ya'll again?
ReplyDeleteMy sister - the middle one - is like you. She left when she was younger and my parents went back to the field after she was in college, so her overseas experiences are memories that inform her past, but she didn't get to memorialize it to the same extent I did. She's great. :)
How are you doing?
